| 2006 | February: Anna & Max Webb donated $2 million toward the Israel Center for Newborn Screening, the largest gift ever in the history of the Friends of Sheba Medical Center. May: A group of supporters led by Daniel Ziv pledged over $250,000 to purchase new life-saving equipment in the pediatric intensive care unit equipment in The Edmond and Lily Safra Children's Hospital. May: Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, in a coma following a stroke, is moved to Sheba Medical Center. July: The most severely wounded soldiers and civilians from the war in Lebanon are treated at Sheba and the National Center for Rehabilitation. November: Marilyn Ziering pledged $4 million toward a naming gift for the new Sigi & Marilyn Ziering National Center for Newborn Screening. |
