Saving Thousands of Lives in Israel

In early 2006, Friends of Sheba Medical Center launched a Campaign to raise $14.6 million for the Sigi & Marilyn Ziering National Center for Newborn Screening.

On Wednesday, September 13, 2006, Marilyn Ziering made an impromptu pitch at the Women of Achievement Luncheon encouraging attendees to join her in raising $1 million for the Campaign; as a result, Sheba’s Million Dollar Women’s Club was born.

Members of the Million Dollar Women’s Club give a new $10,000 gift at the beginning of a calendar year between now and the end of the Newborn Screening Campaign in 2009.  At that time, Club members will have donated a total of $1 million to support the Campaign.  Active members are entitled to attend two annual Million Dollar Women’s Club social events and one or more high-level “membership has its privileges” events, including small parlor meetings or exclusive visits with high-level public figures, celebrities, or Israeli dignitaries.

One-hundred percent of every $10,000 gift
goes directly to Newborn Screening.
